Nondipole strong-field approximation for above-threshold ionization in a few-cycle pulse

چکیده
The ionization of atoms and molecules by strong laser fields has been studied extensively, both theoretically experimentally. strong-field approximation (SFA) allows for the analytical solution Schr\"odinger equation accurately predicts behavior processes in intense fields. Over past decade, there a growing interest study nondipole effects these processes. However, such predictions have so far limited to monochromatic driving fields, while experiments often employ quite short pulses. In this paper, we therefore present an extension SFA that also incorporating more complicated temporal structure few-cycle pulse. By extension, prediction so-called peak shifts is significantly improved, ability control pulse inducing above-threshold greatly enhanced. enhanced over characteristics results accurate shifts. Our show better agreement with experimental investigations compared previous theoretical studies.

Molecular Double Ionization Using Strong Field Few-Cycle Laser Pulses.
We study strong field double ionization of a series of organic molecules by making use of coincidence detection of fragment ions. We measure the double ionization yield as a function of pulse duration, intensity, polarization, and molecular conjugation. For conjugated molecules we find strong enhancement in the double ionization rate over what one would expect on the basis of tunneling or multi...

متن کاملField-ionization threshold and its induced ionization-window phenomenon for Rydberg atoms in a short single-cycle pulse
We study the field-ionization threshold behavior when a Rydberg atom is ionized by a short single-cycle pulse field. Both hydrogen and sodium atoms are considered. The required threshold field amplitude is found to scale inversely with the binding energy when the pulse duration becomes shorter than the classical Rydberg period, and, thus, more weakly bound electrons require larger fields for io...
متن کاملAsymmetry in the strong-field ionization of Rydberg atoms by few-cycle pulses.
We present measurements of the electron ejection direction in the ionization of high (n=90) Rydberg states of rubidium subjected to few-cycle radio-frequency (RF) pulses. For weak pulses we find a strong asymmetry for even (cosine) pulses and no asymmetry for odd (sine) pulses. This asymmetry disappears for pulses longer than four RF cycles. For strong pulses, very large asymmetry is found for ...

We measure high resolution photoelectron angular distributions (PADs) for above-threshold ionization of xenon atoms in infrared laser fields. Based on the Ammosov-Delone-Krainov theory, we develop an intuitive quantum-trajectory Monte Carlo model encoded with Feynman's path-integral approach, in which the Coulomb effect on electron trajectories and interference patterns are fully considered. We...
